Git Practice

Finals are halfway over and I decided it was time to start learning and practicing my git/github skills! Let’s dive right in!

To refresh my memory, what is git? Git is a free and distributed version control system that tracks and manages a project, or a set of files, as they change over time. This information is stored in a data structure called a repository that can be hosted on Github. I have a few projects stored on Github, but I don’t track the changes or commits through Git – Until now.

For practice, I made added a hello world text file, staged the current file and tracked its changes through the Git Bash.
